The Role Their team of experienced psychologists provide professional, evidence based Psychological Services to people who are referred to their Psychology Services via private referrals, Better Access (GP Mental Health Treatment Plan), NDIS and other internal referral services. As a Registered Psychologist, you will be provided with administrative support, including billing clients, managing bookings and waitlists, appointment confirmations, SMS reminders and room bookings. As a Registered Psychologist, you will contribute to high quality care in order to achieve the best outcome for your clients and their families. You will be able to tap into the expertise of the experienced multidisciplinary mental health team to find a 'personalised care and support solution' that works for each individual client. Their experienced mental health practitioners operate across the spectrum of mental health services, including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, registered psychologists, occupational therapists, mental health social workers, counsellors and mental health nurses, in addition to support coordinators and other staff. Duties: Working with a broad range of clients with psychiatric diagnoses and complex presentations across the lifespan. Administer of a range of cognitive and adaptive behaviour assessment tools and psychological strategies for children, young people and adults (referral via HeadSpace). Supporting clients facing eating disorders, alcohol and other drug use and suicide ideation (preferably). Managing your own caseload of clients. Conducting assessments to appraise the psycho-social functioning of young people. Providing preventative and therapeutic interventions. Referring to, and liaising with, external agencies to promote holistic support. What We're Looking For Possess the relevant tertiary qualification and hold membership to the appropriate professional body (AHPRA). Hold full registration as a Registered Psychologist with at least 12 months experience. Be eligible for a Medicare Provider Number. Undertake clinical assessments and treatment planning for clients referred to the service using validated screening and assessment tools. Provide progress and final reports to referring GPs on clients and to ensure best client outcomes and appropriate on-referral pathways. Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage people from all backgrounds.
