PMO Manager Your new company
A well-established organisation is entering a new strategic planning cycle and is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to support the uplift of project governance, portfolio oversight, and delivery capability. You will join a collaborative and growing team and play a key role in ensuring successful implementation of the new strategy.
Your new role
You will take the lead of the Project Management Office and oversee all PMO operations, governance processes, and portfolio performance. You will also work closely with the wider team to support its delivery needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Leading the structure, governance, and operational performance of the PMO
Managing resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects
Overseeing portfolio management and ensuring alignment with organisational priorities
Defining and embedding project management methodologies, templates, and tools
Ensuring compliance with organisational standards and best-practice frameworks
Forecasting resource needs and supporting capacity planning across the portfolio
Providing consolidated reporting, insights, and escalations to leadership
Facilitating governance forums and working closely with senior stakeholders
Driving continuous improvement across PMO processes, systems, and reporting
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated experience as a PMO Manager within a complex environment
Strong understanding of project management governance, frameworks, and methodologies
Experience managing project resources and overseeing portfolio performance
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to lead uplift initiatives and implement delivery improvements
Strong analytical and reporting capability with a focus on quality and standards
