This advertisement is to apply for the Immunopathology position with NSW Health Pathology at John Hunter Hospital.
An eligibility list will be created for future vacancies that may arise in the 2026 Clinical Year.
What You'll Be Doing
The positions are suitable for Advanced Training in Immunopathology (Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, RCPA), or for trainees in the joint Immunology program of Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology.
Trainees participate in network-wide teaching, supervision, research projects, ongoing education and clinical and laboratory quality programs.
The Advanced Trainee is expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management according to their experience, under the guidance of, and at the discretion of their Supervising Immunologist(s).
Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Evidence of completion of at least two (2) postgraduate experience.
- Proven ability to work as a team member with effective interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team setting, in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and research.
- Demonstrated vocational interest in Immunopathology and/or Immunology, including specific examples of activities, experiences, training and/or research of relevance.
