Software Lifecycle Specialist
The role of a Software Lifecycle Specialist is multifaceted and highly rewarding. This position involves managing the software agreement lifecycle for clients, with a primary focus on Microsoft products. A key aspect of this job is building and nurturing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including client managers, partners, and vendor representatives. The ultimate goal is to ensure that clients realize value from their investments and to maximize profitability through effective vendor programmatic funding mechanisms.
The responsibilities of a Software Lifecycle Specialist include developing and executing technology adoption programs in consultation with Software Sales Specialists and GTM Practice teams. This involves working closely with Presales, Consulting, and Technical Services team members to ensure effective client engagement and leveraging resources as needed. Additionally, the Specialist must agree and implement a structured Governance Framework with the client, capturing key success criteria that will be covered in regular meeting cadences.
Another critical responsibility is maintaining a good understanding of vendor incentive programs and being accountable for realizing associated incentives related to technology adoption. This requires facilitating client technology roadmap workshops, engaging appropriate technical resources, and providing market intelligence insights to clients. The Specialist must also identify and register co-sell opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and expand software and NTT Data Services. Furthermore, they are responsible for reporting success metrics back to NTT Data stakeholders and documenting client case studies and win wires for adoption and lifecycle management success stories.
Other essential duties include conducting regular business reviews with clients to ensure alignment with their strategic goals, developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in software licensing and agreements. To stay current with industry trends and best practices, the Specialist must participate in continuous professional development. They are also required to identify client eligibility for available funding through various Microsoft programs such as MCI and ECIF, deliver presales Microsoft workshops, work with clients to obtain proof of execution/delivery of workshops, and submit claims to Microsoft for delivered workshops.
