Position Requirements
This role is key on the team in executing tasks in the hospital contract revenue cycle and works closely with Client Services, Patient Revenue Accounting, and FP&A.The individual should be well versed in accounting principles and the full revenue cycle (contract to cash) end-to-end. The role touches various tasks related to billing, revenue recognition, GL account reconciliations and contract site performance reconciliations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead, develop and mentor a team of 4 Senior Accountants
2. Supervise the process of timely preparation of client reconciliations in accordance with Subsidy Hospital Customer contracts
3. Review journal entries related to contract revenue for the month end close and ensure they are prepared timely and accurately, and with proper supporting documentation
4. Review and ensure the accuracy and timely completion of AR balance sheet account reconciliations
5. Partner with Director and Finance Managers in addressing requests from regional leaders regarding customer contract financial reconciliations
6. Drive continuous business process improvement and automation.
7. Support the annual financial statement audit process
8. Other projects as needs arise
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
9. 8-10 years of progressive accounting professional experience, including at least 3 years of management experience
10. Bachelor's degree - Accounting
11. Strong knowledge of GAAP, in particular revenue recognition
12. Advanced Excel skills
13. Able to work in a dynamic, fluid, fast-paced, hybrid-remote environment
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
14. SAP, Oracle, Workday (ERP system) experience
15. Healthcare industry experience
