Role overview
Hastings is a leading company within the UK general insurance market; our vision is to become the best and biggest digital insurer. A key part to ensuring we succeed in this, is by product diversification. We aim to have 1 million non-car customers by 2025 and both Bike & Van play a key part in this.
This is an exciting time for us as we continue to grow both our Bike & Van books through the power of data, insight and innovation. We're looking for a Commercial Manger to support the continued growth in performance and profitability, working with key stakeholders to identify and deliver commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly into our Head of Growth products you will be an integral lead to ensure we deliver our committed commercial and customer outcomes resulting in market leading performance.
Flexible in location, but travel will be required sometimes to our office locations.
How you will make a difference:
You will be responsible for managing relationships with our in-house underwriter
Through insight, analysis, and commercial acumen, identify and deliver key initiatives to maximise profitability across all customer journeys,
You will lead the implementation and delivery of initiatives and change ensuring benefits are delivered rapidly and with maximum effect.
You will develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with stakeholders in all functions that have a role in delivering commercial outcomes.
You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining and effective customer journeys to maximise commercial outcomes.
Essential skills/Experience:
As a growing business this role is critical to our delivery and success, it will be exciting, busy, varied and challenging so a hands-on approach is key. You will be results oriented, with drive to deliver against customer and commercial outcomes.
You're innovative and enjoy seeking out opportunities to disrupt and an innovate while also incrementally evolving commercial capabilities.
You will be passionate about data, with good numerical skills to draw out insights and opportunity.
We would like you to have experience working withing a highly regulated environment, with proven background engaging and enthusing senior stakeholders.
You will also have a background in Bike & Van insurance, understanding the product and market.
