This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to step into a senior leadership role while continuing meaningful clinical work. As Clinical Lead, you’ll work closely with the Clinical Director to shape the future of women’s health services, drive service improvement, support multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality patient care.

The role You’ll balance leadership with hands‑on clinical care, including:
Providing specialist obstetric and gynaecological services across multiple sites
Supporting strategic direction, service planning, and resource management
Leading and mentoring medical and midwifery teams
Contributing to education and training, including undergraduate teaching
Participating in an on‑call roster (approx. 1 in 5)
About the service The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology provides a well-supported and diverse clinical environment:
Approximately 1,000 births per year
Level 4 maternity and neonatal services
8‑bed ICU support
Established midwifery group practice (MGP) model
Accredited RANZCOG training positions
Gynaecology services including colposcopy and laparoscopy
About you You are a senior O&G specialist who:
Is motivated to improve healthcare systems and patient outcomes
Brings leadership experience or is ready to step into a leadership role
Enjoys teaching, mentoring, and supporting team development
Is comfortable working across regional and multi‑site services
Communicates clearly and works well across teams
Specialist (or limited) registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Fellowship (FRANZCOG) or equivalent
Current Working with Children Registration
