Senior building operations officer

As Senior Building Operations Officer, you will lead a team responsible for monitoring the compliance, safety and condition of council buildings and assets, overseeing various building service contracts, and supporting the day‐to‐day operations of the municipal building, including Chief Fire Warden duties.

• Develop and lead the internal auditing program and schedules.
• Assess, evaluate, and maintain accurate records of building assets.
• Manage service contracts to ensure compliance with agreements, service standards, timeframes, and budget.
• Monitor and report on contractor performance.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting audits and assessing compliance or building condition.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• A proactive approach to fostering a positive and engaged team culture.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, contractors, and community stakeholders.

Location: Cheltenham
Salary: $83,421 – $96,065 per annum (dependent on experience) + superannuation
