About Bass Coast Health:
On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

Mandatory Requirements
· Medical practitioner registration with AHPRA
* Fellowship of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthesia (ANZCA) or Specialist recognition as a Rural Generalist Anaesthetist (RGA) or equivalent
* A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
* Provision of valid Working with Children Check
* Provision of an NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
* Entitlement to work within Australia
DESIRABLE:
* Demonstrated extensive clinical background and experience in Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine
* Demonstrated organisational ability
* Superior interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and communication skills
* Experience in teaching, supervision and post-graduate education
* Ability to work as part of a team within the perioperative environment with all members of the multidisciplinary team
* Proven ability in leadership and experience in management of clinical staff
