Job Title: Senior Manager Risk and Control
The Line 1 Financial Crime team plays a critical role in strengthening the culture of financial crime compliance. Our primary objective is to actively support the business in managing and reducing its financial crime risks.
We drive effective implementation of the AML/CTF, Sanctions and ABC policies while continually strengthening our Financial Crime risk management framework, procedures and controls.
As a senior professional, you will lead teams responsible for establishing and actioning business unit-level controls that help manage Financial Crime risk. Reporting to the Executive Manager Financial Crime Risk and Controls, you will be a member of the Financial Crime leadership team.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the design and execution of controls owned by the Line 1 Financial Crime team.
* Developing a Continuous Improvement culture within the team, looking for new opportunities to optimize processes.
* Complying with Service Level Agreement standards and adhering to all policy and procedures.
* Applying sound risk management practices by identifying and responding to risks and reporting them as necessary.
* Developing a high-performing team through coaching and mentoring.
Candidates with experience in operational risk management and compliance, ideally within banking, financial services or law enforcement, should possess strong technical knowledge and experience in the application of financial crime risk management frameworks and expertise in AML/CTF, Sanctions and ABC.
