We're a global packaging business that builds our own software.
We're shipping two platforms this year; shared backend, shared design system, one architecture that connects everything. We need a developer embedded with senior leadership to help ship both to production and own the evolution of the system.
The Role
You'll work directly with the founder and senior leaders across sales, ops, and finance - translating commercial priorities into working software.
* Full stack with a heavy bias toward backend. You'll build the middleware connecting our frontends to ERP, warehouse, freight, product and compliance systems.
* API layers, sync infrastructure, and database schemas that make complex operational data feel simple on the other side.
* You're not just building features, you're shaping how the team works and how customers engage in our business. CTO support is there for architecture decisions, but you own delivery and the codebase.
The Stack
Python / FastAPI on the backend. React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind on the frontend. PostgreSQL. ERP integration via XML-RPC and REST. Various API integrations on the roadmap.
What we're looking for
* You've connected frontends to complex backend systems that don't have clean documentation. You know how to handle state and sync across platforms that weren't designed to talk to each other.
* You can sit in a room with non-technical leaders, understand the business problem, and come back with something that works.
* You use AI tools daily and it shows in your velocity, but you know where to draw the line. Quality, security, and reliability aren't things you trade away for speed.
* Both platforms handle sensitive commercial data. Auth and data security are part of how you think, not something you bolt on at the end.
What you're walking into
* No process theatre. No Jira or endless grooming sessions or layers of middle management. You'll ship to production in week one.
* A founder who prototypes high fidelity designs and hands off detailed specs, data models, and API contracts.
* A clear roadmap with customers pulling for the platform and an internal team that's hungry for better tools.
