Your new role
The purpose of this role is to assist the OHS Manager with promoting health and safety in the workplace to establish a good safety culture and to provide operational advice to meet legislative obligations and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, associates, students, contractors and users of our services.
Other responsibilities include but limited too:
- Build positive working relationships, strengthen business partnering and ensure excellent internal customer service for OH&S and Workers Compensation activities across all business units of Council
- Assist with the coordination and continual improvement of OH&S systems and processes.
- Manage workers compensation as the Council's Return to Work Coordinator.
- Work across Council to identify and respond to OH&S hazards / risks and assist with the development and implementation of solutions.
- Work effectively to deliver OH&S strategies and projects.
- Coordinate the administration and maintenance of a range of OH&S databases, programs and performance data.
