About the role
Bowral Street Dental Practice is seeking a dedicated and friendly Dental Assistant to join our well-established and growing practice in Bowral, NSW. This is a part-time role, with the prospect to work up to 3 days per week. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental team and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care.
This position requires availability to work weekdays only.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear working area
- Sterilising and preparing instruments and equipment for each patient
- Greeting patients, taking impressions, and performing other basic clinical tasks
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensuring our practice remains clean, organised, and well-stocked
- Providing exceptional customer service to our patients throughout their visits
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Proficient in using dental equipment and software (training provided if needed)
- A friendly, caring, and customer-focused attitude
- A commitment to maintaining a high standard of infection control and patient safety
- Must possess valid work visa or Australian work rights
