About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Manager to join our team and contribute to shaping thriving communities, public spaces, places, and economies.
As a key member of our Environmental Management Group's Sustainability team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative projects that support NSW Government goals on Net Zero, circular economy, and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide guidance and set plans for Property and Development NSW and other NSW Government agencies to achieve their Net Zero ambitions.
2. Use your sustainability expertise to lead and coordinate Net Zero Government Operations reporting and assist in the development of long-term net zero transition plans.
3. Implement best practice processes, stakeholder engagement, and reporting on sustainability performance within PDNSW Office portfolio.
Requirements
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in government and/or corporate sustainability reporting.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in reporting and preparation of Government Resource Efficiency Policy (GREP) reporting.
* An ability to identify emission reduction opportunities and programs, with strong technical knowledge of energy, waste, and water efficiency projects.
* High-level skills in stakeholder engagement and the ability to work closely with clients to deliver comprehensive and accurate reports on time and within budget.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Science or Engineering.
* Previous experience in NSW Government Resource Efficiency Policy reporting.
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrated experience with net zero, energy, and carbon accounting principles.
