About this role

We seek an experienced leader to oversee our Audiometric Screening Division, staff, operations, and client service delivery.

A strong background in hearing tests is beneficial, but not essential.

This role requires exceptional people management and operational skills, including supporting staff, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring services run smoothly.

Candidates with experience in audiometry, allied health, nursing, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, health science, occupational health and safety, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

The immediate priority is providing day-to-day operational support, coordinating a team, and delivering high-quality services.

We seek someone who can grow into a true leadership role, shaping the division, and driving service excellence.

This role suits someone seeking part-time work now but wanting to step into a larger leadership position over time.

You'll commence at 0.4 FTE (~16 hours per week) and have the opportunity to develop into 0.6, 0.8, or full-time as additional responsibilities are transferred and assumed.

To succeed, you'll need flexibility to be available for 3–4 hours at least four days per week, providing timely support to staff and clients.

Key responsibilities include supervising and supporting audiometric technicians, acting as the first point of contact for roster changes, illness, and day-to-day operational queries, and liaising with clients and coordinating reschedules.

This role offers opportunities for growth, including managing quality standards, developing team capability, identifying training needs, mentoring staff, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and building client relationships.

For success, we're looking for someone with 3–5 years of experience in audiometric screening or a related field, relevant qualifications, strong people management and team leadership skills, excellent communication and client relationship skills, and attention to detail and commitment to accurate record-keeping.

Our approach emphasizes empowering staff to contribute and succeed, listening openly to feedback, leading by example in day-to-day actions, being honest, sincere, and respectful in all interactions.
