We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partnerships Manager to drive commercial growth across Western NSW, with a clear focus on business development, revenue generation and strategic partnerships. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales or partnerships professional who thrives on building relationships, closing deals and delivering measurable outcomes in a regional context.
Reporting to the Regional Director – Western NSW, you will take ownership of membership growth and sponsorship revenue while positioning Business NSW as the partner of choice for regional businesses, industry and government.
Please note this is a part-time opportunity, 3 days per week
The Opportunity
* This role is accountable for growing and diversifying revenue through membership, sponsorship and partnerships. Your key focus will be to:
* Drive new business development across Regional Leaders membership, sponsorship and partnerships
* Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue KPIs
* Identify, pursue and convert new sponsorship and partnership opportunities
* Retain and grow existing member and sponsor accounts through proactive relationship management
* Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and negotiate commercial agreements
* Build and execute a regional membership and partnership growth strategy
* Manage budgets, forecasts and CRM reporting to track pipeline and performance
* Represent Business NSW at events, meetings and forums to strengthen market presence
* Collaborate across internal teams to ensure delivery of sponsor and member value
* Support regional advocacy outcomes by engaging commercially aligned stakeholders
* This is a hands‐on role with a strong balance of hunter and farmer activity, suited to someone confident operating autonomously in a regional environment.
About You
* You are a commercially astute, results‐driven professional with a proven track record in business development. You bring:
* Demonstrated success growing revenue through sales, sponsorships, partnerships or memberships
* Strong pipeline management and deal‐closing capability
* Experience developing and negotiating commercial agreements
* High‐level stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
* Confidence presenting to senior business, government and industry leaders
* Strong reporting, forecasting and CRM discipline
* A proactive, self‐starting approach with high personal accountability
* A genuine interest in regional business, economic development and community impact
* Experience working with membership organisations, industry associations, professional services, government‐facing environments or regional markets will be highly regarded.
* National Criminal History Check
* Ability to work flexibly, including after‐hours events and travel
