About the role
B & D Excavations Australia is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our dynamic team in Gosford, New South Wales. As a full-time Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining a range of heavy machinery to support our construction projects.
What you'll be doing
* Safely operate a variety of construction plant and equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, and skid steer loaders
* Perform pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on assigned machines
* Contribute to the efficient and timely completion of construction projects by working closely with the wider site team
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Participate in ongoing training and skill development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Plant Operator in the construction industry
* Demonstrated expertise in operating a range of heavy machinery, including excavators, articulated dump trucks, and skid steer loaders
* Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Relevant construction industry qualifications, including a valid driver's licence and appropriate machine operation certificates
