Overview
Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd, located in Mackay, Queensland, have two facilities, Kerrisdale Gardens and Good Shepherd Lodge and we are seeking Assistants in Nursing to join our clinical team on a part-time or casual basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, providing accurate documentation, and maintaining a caring and empathetic attitude towards residents.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Assistants in Nursing (AIN's) to join our team. As an AIN, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, and contributing to the overall comfort and well-being of patients under the guidance of our registered nurses. This is a rewarding prospect to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Monitor and report on resident health status, including vital signs and general well-being
- Support registered nurses in providing high-quality care
- Maintain resident records and documentation in accordance with healthcare standards
- Assist in resident mobility and positioning
- Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff
About You
- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work night shifts
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow care plans and instructions
- A genuine passion for helping others and a caring attitude
