We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Psychologist to join us in a clinical academic role that offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to develop their clinical teaching and clinical research skills.

* This is a part-time position (negotiable 60-80% FTE) with a fixed-term contract through to December 31, 2026
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality rural training experiences for undergraduate psychology students on placement within various settings across Darling Downs and South West Queensland.

* Key responsibilities include teaching, research, and citizenship and service
Teaching responsibilities will include providing clinical supervision of students and best practice clinical and educational support to clinical supervisors, developing educational materials, facilitating interprofessional learning opportunities, and providing academic counselling
">
* Research responsibilities will include maintaining expert knowledge and clinical skills, contributing to rural health research, publishing and presenting research outcomes, and implementing new clinical techniques
Citizenship and Service responsibilities will include developing and fostering partnerships, engaging in internal and external service roles, providing support to colleagues, and upholding university values

* Possession of a tertiary degree in Psychology and broad clinical experience as a Psychologist, with at least 3 years of recent practice experience
Demonstrated experience and expertise in clinical education of psychology students, sound knowledge of interprofessional education, collaboration, and practice, and the ability to negotiate and work consultatively

* Ability to work independently with high levels of initiative and autonomy, and to establish relationships and represent and promote academic discipline at a university and wider community level
