About The Role
SLS requires a Full time Laboratory Technician to join our Melbourne (Williamstown North) NATA accredited Chemical Testing Laboratory to perform sampling on soil, water, and air samples in a fast-paced laboratory.
What we are looking for is a technically oriented person with great attention to detail and someone with a demonstrated minimum of 2 years' experience.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
* Weighing and preparation of the samples
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with national standards
* Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory quality control and quality assurance systems
* Report low stock of consumables, standards, chemicals etc
Skills And Experience That Are Required
* Ability to work in team or independently
* Ability to reason and interpret with good attention to detail and clear record keeping
* Intermediate or higher in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Full rights to work full-time in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident)
* Demonstrated 2 years' experience within a laboratory
* Tertiary qualification related to a chem. Lab
* Positive attitude
