Senior Manager – Business Development & Key Accounts

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Business Development & Key Accounts to drive our relationships with on-sellers and expand our sales distribution channels in Australia and New Zealand.


About the Role:

You will be responsible for developing new local markets, managing national retail customers, and implementing sales strategies. This role requires collaboration with our Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to achieve our strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and penetrate new AU/NZ markets to boost sales.
* Assess and manage new on-seller business opportunities and contracts.
* Build and nurture relationships with targeted channels and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
* Provide feedback based on managing existing accounts/distributors.
* Educate customers on Modibodi's product range, including new product developments (NPDs).
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
* Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to maximize sales growth and maintain business alignment.
* Develop and manage promotional plans and marketing strategies for key accounts and national customers.
* Provide regular reporting to the Leadership Team.
* Collaborate with supply chain and finance teams for seamless onboarding and support.
* Review and improve wholesale-related processes for efficiency and transparency.
* Develop annual business plans aligned with sales and profit targets.
* Understand market segments, channels, competition, and identify opportunities within existing accounts.
* Forecast long-term market trends and develop strategic responses to competitive developments.


Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience in account management and business development within the fashion and apparel industry.
* Experience working with on-sellers in medium to large-sized organizations, specifically retailers such as Big W, Myer, David Jones, and Rebel Sport.
* Customer-focused and committed to creating positive experiences.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and contribute to positive change.
* Ability to interpret sales data, including sell-thru reports, to identify opportunities and drive performance.
* Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Ability to assess commercial opportunities and help drive sustainable growth.
* Confident in negotiation and partnership building.
* Experience managing projects from start to finish.
* Open to monthly interstate travel and willing to hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a car.
