ABOUT THE ROLE
Permanent | Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Lead our Operations Team at Hobart, TAS 7009! Full-time, Mon–Fri (8:30am–5:00pm). We need a reliable, customer-focused quick learner. Hands-on role, permanent position, on the go, not behind a desk.
Reporting to the Branch Business Unit Manager, you’ll take the lead in driving operational excellence and team success. Your key responsibilities include:
* Lead with impact – Set clear direction, role clarity, and inspire performance for a team.
* Champion safety – Uphold and enforce WHS standards to keep our people and customers safe.
* Own operations – Oversee gatehouse/administration, rectification, detailing, inspections, and all site asset movements with precision.
* Safeguard the branch – Manage security, site maintenance, and facility upkeep to ensure smooth operations.
* Deliver results – Hit KPIs aligned with sales channels and vendor requirements.
* Drive profitability – Collaborate with management and staff to achieve budgeted branch profit.
* Lead the way – Play an active role in the Leadership Team to enhance services, boost employee engagement, and elevate customer NPS scores.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:
* A proven track record in operations, ideally with experience in the Auction or Motor Vehicle industries
* Self-motivated with a hands on, can-do attitude
* Adaptable and flexible in fast paced environments
* Ability to engage and motivate a team with strong people management skills
* Proven customer service skills and NPS experience
* Competent oral and written communication skills
* Competent MS Office skills and the ability to learn our user friendly auction system
* Excellent time management skills
* Demonstrated understanding of WH&S regulations
* Current Manual Drivers Licence (essential)
* Forklift licence (essential)
