Your New Role

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to work closely within a small and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

* To provide efficient and accurate management of the Accounts Payable function across the Group

* Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment runs

* Timely and accurate processing of a high volume of invoices including checking cost coding used

* Maintain accurate Vendor Master Files and ensure subcontractor agreements are valid

* Process ad-hoc transactions such as credit card payments and manual invoices

* Reconcile supplier accounts and the AP ledger to the general ledger

* Raise debit/credit adjustments and back charges where required

* Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries

* Drive continuous improvement of AP processes

* Supervise and support the Accounts Payable Clerk

What You'll Need to Succeed:

* Related Diploma or Qualification

* At least 5 years' experience in accounts payable, including supervisory responsibilities

* Strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AP software

* Knowledge of building industry terminology and processes (desirable)

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

* Assisting staff, trades and suppliers with invoice queries as needed

Coupled with your proven experience in Accounts Payable and within a high-volume environment, central to your success will be your punctuality, integrity and high level of accountability. You will be able to accurately follow directions, work efficiently both independently and as part of a team and in addition, your time management and attention to detail will be second to none. You will require a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and various accounting packages and whilst we will highly value prior building industry experience, it is not essential.
