Overview
Civil Engineer - Transport Infrastructure - Relocate to Rockhampton
AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to be based in Rockhampton working within the Transport Team on a wide variety of regionally significant transport and general civil planning and design projects. You will help establish and build client relationships and may lead projects and teams. Relocation is on offer for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Lead general civil work including road design and urban precinct planning projects for both government and private sector clients.
- Act as Project Manager / Technical Lead on a range of projects, including business development activities, proposal writing, and bidding for civil infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with engineers across Australia to deliver key transport design services on various transport infrastructure projects.
- Assume Team Leader responsibilities within the local Transport Business, including mentoring junior team members and contributing to financial reporting on projects.
- Participate in business and strategic planning activities for the team, collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver broader business outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with RPEQ and ideally 12+ years of experience in a consultancy, local council, or state government department.
- Future leader with interest in succession and long-term growth within a global organisation.
- Extensive design and/or project management experience with state government or local council civil infrastructure and transport projects.
- Proven knowledge of Australian Standards and a track record of applying technical knowledge in project delivery.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively at internal and client-facing levels, developing new client relationships and maintaining networks within the business.
