Job Summary
The Royal Children's Hospital seeks a Mental Health Clinician Groups Program Coordinator to join the HOPE team within the Mental Health Department. This is a long-term fixed term part-time position at 30.4 hours per fortnight.
About The Role
You will design, coordinate and deliver a structured, evidence-based therapeutic group program for children and their parents/carers seen through the HOPE program.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and co-facilitate groups, managing group dynamics and responding effectively to behavioural or emotional crises.
2. Deliver structured, evidence-based therapeutic group programs for children and their parents/carers that are well-designed, coordinated and impactful.
3. Develop programs that are developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, culturally safe and responsive to neurodiversity.
Key Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Current Registration as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Registered Nurse or Social Worker with the applicable Health Practitioner Board.
* Proven ability to partner with other community mental health teams and community/family welfare agencies to plan and implement interventions for children and young people with complex mental health problems.
