Overview
Platinum Locating Services specialises in providing utility location and mapping of underground services to the construction industry and utility asset owners across the Perth metropolitan area.
We are looking for motivated, keen and fit workers who preferably have previous civil construction experience to assist in the day to day operations of locating underground services. This is a physically demanding job in sometimes trying conditions but also a rewarding role where you can learn on the job working with an experienced team and progress to becoming a locator if that is what you desire.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the operation of vacuum trailers or trucks and equipment, digging and identifying underground services.
* Assisting in a locating crew and using locating equipment.
Qualifications and requirements
* Previous experience working on construction sites (preferred).
* Physically fit and able to carry out manual work in testing conditions.
* Driver's licence (C class minimum).
* Construction White Card.
* Strong focus on safety; safety-conscious and diligent with attention to detail.
* Ability to conduct pre-starts on plant and equipment.
* First Aid/CPR Certificate; Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM).
* A good understanding of underground services.
* Willingness to learn new skills and progress; ability to be flexible in start and finishing times.

* Above award rate remuneration plus penalties after 7.6 hours daily; 1.5x and 2.0x rates apply on weekends and nights.
