About the Division Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD) is responsible for supporting one of the largest technology networks in Victoria and leading the department's technology, digital capability, business systems and digital transformation. This network consists of Schools, Corporate and Early Childhood Education (ECE) including a school user base of more than 1500 Government schools, 50,000 teachers and 650,000 students. IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration. About the Role An exciting opportunity exists in the Digital Design & Innovation Branch (DDI) in the Information Management and Technology Division. The Release Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the end-to-end software development release processes for the Digital Design and Innovation (DDI) branches ServiceNow, Salesforce and Microsoft development teams. Attributes As our ideal candidate, you will: Lead DDI branch engagement with IMTD CAB process and oversee deployment activities. Contribute to implementation planning and ensure successful release implementation. Manage stakeholder engagement, deployment coordination, and communication of release status. Ensure service continuity, including rollback steps and go/no-go decisions. Manage risks, issues, and post-deployment improvements. Create deployment run-sheets and manage change requests (RFCs). Facilitate emergency releases and identify process improvements. Maintain release management documentation and standards. Coordinate non-production environments and create 12-month release plans. Desirable Qualifications and Experience 5+ years of experience in managing enterprise release management Previous experience working in Software as a Service (SaaS) environments Previous experience with ServiceNow or Salesforce Previous experience owning a combined schedule of multiple teams Previous experience in an environment with fast iterative releases Previous experience facilitating urgent production hotfixes Demonstrated ability engaging with governance, security and audit teams to simplify processes How to apply To be considered for this position, applicants are encouraged to submit a resume and cover letter (no longer than 2 pages) summarising their skills and relevant experience.
