About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to lead the Australian HR function, working in close partnership with colleagues in New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver people and culture strategies at a national level, while playing a pivotal role in fostering a unified, high-performing, and values-driven culture across both countries.
About the Role
* Provide strategic leadership for the Australian HR function, ensuring alignment and consistency with New Zealand operations.
* Act as a connector, building strong relationships and trusted partnerships across all levels and locations within the organisation.
* Drive a culture transformation agenda, championing the shift towards a high-performance, values-led environment.
* Establish and enhance robust frameworks and processes to ensure compliance and support sustainable growth.
* Collaborate closely with New Zealand counterparts - while you'll have autonomy to lead initiatives in Australia, there's a strong focus on working together to create a cohesive, "one team" approach.
* Oversee all core HR functions, including employee relations, talent management, performance development, and organisational change.
* Mentor and develop a high-performing People & Culture team, supporting their professional growth and recognising achievements.
* Champion health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring compliance and a safe, supportive work environment.
About You
* Proven experience in a Senior People & Culture leadership role, ideally within a complex, multi-site environment.
* Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills - you are a natural connector who thrives on collaboration.
* Demonstrated experience in a values-driven organisation, with high energy and a nurturing, hands-on approach to building an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
* Experience working with a high-volume operational workforce is highly regarded.
* Strong knowledge of industrial relations, enterprise bargaining, and employment legislation.
* A track record of driving organisational culture, employee engagement, and high performance.
