Position
Media Officer – Parental Leave Relief (12‐month appointment starting early August). Location: Strathpine, City of Moreton Bay.
Compensation
$106,975 per annum plus 12% super; salary increases of 4.5% EBA from 1 July
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver proactive and reactive media content.
* Create and implement media and public relations plans.
* Support issues management.
* Prepare and issue media strategies, releases and statements.
* Research and prepare responses to media enquiries within tight deadlines.
* Manage and implement media events to attract coverage of public announcements.
* Monitor media coverage and provide reporting to manage crisis situations, measure effectiveness of campaigns, and inform content and opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
* Highly motivated and strategic media and PR professional with proven ability in corporate environments.
* Ability to develop proactive news angles and manage a fast‐paced, reactive environment.
* Forensic eye for detail; experienced in turning complex topics into clear messages for target audiences.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience collaborating with media contacts, internal and external stakeholders.
