Job Purpose and Impact
Reporting to the FSQR (Food, Safety, Quality and Regulatory) Lead, the FSQR Specialist will ensure effective management to plan, develop and maintain all related systems. In this role, you will ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations and standards. Key Accountabilities
Day to day accountability to ensure compliance for all food safety and quality regulations, policies, standards and practices.
Ensure factory standards are adhered to and support the reporting and completion of actions in the event of any deviations.
Responsible for internal audit systems.
Accountable for food safety related site improvements.
Lead customer audits and visits including corrective action close outs.
Engage and encourage a small site based team of food safety professionals.
Other duties as assigned
Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Degree's in Food Technology/ Food Science /Chemistry (M.Sc. Chemistry)
Adequate knowledge and understanding in the areas of food safety, quality assurance and regulatory affairs.
Adequate technical knowledge and hand on in handling of regulatory audit such as FSSC 22000, ISO 9000, Kosher, HALAL, GMP, HACCP & audits Advanced Auditing/Compliance - Applies basic auditing and quality compliance skills to identify and manage risks/compliance. Adequate knowledge in Plant Manufacturing - intermediate practical knowledge of manufacturing processes & operations Intermediate Knowledge of Food Laws & Regulations - Stays up-to-date and ensures compliance with food laws and regulations. Product Information /Documentation: Prepares product information and documentation that meet regulatory compliance requirements. Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
