Mission Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced propulsion systems for our spacecraft.
This role will involve working closely with our engineering teams to design, develop, and test propulsion systems that meet the demanding requirements of space travel.
Main Responsibilities
* Own critical spaceflight hardware, ensuring its flightworthiness throughout its life cycle.
* Lead Merlin development and qualification test campaigns to extend qualified engine life.
* Perform design, analysis, development engineering, and flight operations tasks for Merlin engine propulsion systems.
* Interact with engineers and technicians from various disciplines to ensure successful mission outcomes.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering).
* 1+ years of hands-on experience with hardware fabrication, assembly, and testing.
* 1+ years of experience with combustion devices or rocket engine development.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, ANSYS) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Matlab).
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in mechanical engineering or aeronautical/astronautical engineering.
* Demonstrable expertise in thermodynamics, structural mechanics, materials science, and fluid dynamics.
* Experience with manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, welding, casting, additive manufacturing).
* Full engineering lifecycle experience, including design, prototyping, testing, and production.
