The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will lead and manage assigned projects. The role is accountable for all facets of the project lifecycle, ensuring each stage is managed diligently and effectively. Strong leadership, along with high-level consultation and communication, will be key in identifying constraints, pinch-points, and risks that could impact the successful delivery of the project to clients.
What’s Involved
Manage project scope including risk, schedule, procurement, budget, resourcing, communications, and stakeholders.
Ensure accurate documentation of tasks for proper billing against projects.
Manage project schedules to meet customer needs.
Manage budgets to meet or exceed financial targets.
Identify and manage technical, safety, or personnel risks.
Procure project labour internally and externally as per requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Provide clear direction to project teams to ensure timely and quality execution of tasks.
Provide advice for future project costings and timelines.
Prepare, submit, and negotiate project tenders and variations.
Lead project meetings and toolbox talks.
You’ll Need
An engineering or fabrication trade qualification with at least 10 years of trade experience.
Willingness to obtain a Project Management Qualification if successful.
Experience or knowledge in Marine or heavy industrial industries, including asset management standards and systems.
Commercial awareness regarding project budgets, estimates, and cost controls.
Results-driven with excellent attention to detail and ability to discuss technical, commercial, and contractual topics.
Experience in planning and supervisory skills.
Proactive with initiative.
Construction safety induction (white card).
