Who will you be working with?
The Senior Finance Manager is a key business partner to the leadership team, responsible for driving financial performance, and supporting profitability and operational efficiency across the manufacturing business.
How will you make a difference?
This role leads financial planning, analysis, costing, and commercial insights while ensuring robust governance, reporting accuracy and continuous improvement with a key focus on manufacturing cost drivers, inventory management, cost control and financial accounting. The Senior Finance Manager plays a strategic role in shaping business decisions, optimising manufacturing cost structures, and supporting long‐term growth.

What will your typical day look like?
Financial Management & Reporting
* Lead month‐end, quarter‐end, and year‐end close processes.
* Prepare management reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis.
* Responsible for the yearly budgeting process and the rolling 12‐month forecasting process.
* Manage audit preparation, liaising with external auditors for the business.
* Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to global and local financial policies and adherence to accounting standards.
* Support the Country Controllership team with all statutory requirements and support the audit and tax processes.
* Manage the outsourced transactional team's delivery to the business (AR and AP processes).
* Support the Treasury function with bank guarantees and letters of credit.
* Maintain high data integrity within finance systems and reporting structures.
* Drive improvements to procedures and control framework.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
* Provide financial analysis and insight to support business strategy.
* Manage and maintain standard costing, BOM accuracy, and labour/overhead allocation.
* Analyse production variances, yield, scrap, rework and throughput efficiency.
* Support product pricing decisions and margin analysis.
* Review and improve cost models to increase transparency and decision support.
* Partner with production and supply chain teams to optimise cost performance and with sales and commercial teams to optimise revenue and profitability.
* Conduct cost deep‐dives and drive initiatives to reduce COGS.
* Partner with operations to improve inventory accuracy, working capital and supply chain costs.
* Support CAPEX planning, ROI assessment and post‐implementation reviews.
Business Partnering
* Communicate financial results to non‐financial stakeholders clearly and commercially.
* Support decision‐making through financial modelling and ROI analysis.
* Work closely with Product Line, MD/Plant Manager, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, R&D and IT.
* Influence decision‐making through financial insight and challenge where necessary.
* Build strong relationships to improve financial literacy within the organisation.
Systems & Process Improvement
* Drive process improvement and finance transformation initiatives, reducing manual workload and implementing automation tools/systems to improve efficiency, accuracy and business insight.
* Ensure integrity of financial data across systems.
* Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing financial awareness.
People Leadership
* Lead, coach and develop finance staff.
* Manage workload allocation, coaching plans and succession development.
* Foster a high‐performance culture with strong accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
* Allocate tasks, manage priorities and ensure team capability meets business needs.
* Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
What do we want to know about you?
* CA/CPA qualified or equivalent senior finance leadership experience.
* 7‐12+ years in finance, manufacturing exposure is highly regarded.
* Proven track record leading a team managing routine finance and accounting processes such as generating and delivering weekly reports, and annual processes such as stock take.
* Exposure to automation, digital finance transformation.
* Track record in driving operational improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
* Strong cost accounting, operational finance and FP&A capabilities.
* Proven business partnering and stakeholder influencing skills.
* Advanced Excel, ERP/BI tools experience (ideally with Oracle) and strong data interpretation ability.
