We are seeking a key advisor to provide legal guidance on strategic and tactical initiatives in the ANZ region. This role will involve complex business transactions, legal matters, and assisting with negotiations and insurance compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing effective legal advice to stakeholders while managing the internal legal function.
* Coordinating and managing legal functions across regions.
* Supporting compliance activities and risk mitigation in the globally regulated insurance industry.
* Performing litigation on behalf of the company or coordinating outside counsel.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A qualification as a Solicitor in Australia or New Zealand.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in-house.
* Depth of understanding in the global insurance and financial industries and applicable regulations.
* Experience with corporate governance and secretarial duties.
