Your Impact
As Kitchen Manager, you'll lead and mentor a dedicated team to deliver high-quality meals tailored to residents' needs. You'll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in every dish served.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and inspire kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service
* Develop and implement seasonal, dietician-approved menus (including IDDSI texture-modified diets)
* Ensure food safety compliance (HACCP), audits, and accreditation standards
* Manage inventory, procurement, rostering, and budget control
* Collaborate with clinical teams, residents, and families to ensure satisfaction
* Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness standardsDrive continuous improvement and staff development initiatives
About You
* Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role within Aged Care
* Strong leadership, decision‑making, and conflict resolution skills
* High standard of food preparation and productivity
* Solid understanding of aged care catering standards
* Experience in budget management and cost control
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Compassionate, resident‑focused approach
* Police Check
* Pre‑employment medical assessment
