Training and Development Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Training Officer in the Corrective Services Academy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training programs to front-line staff working in custodial and community settings, with a focus on foundation training. This includes the delivery of the accredited Correctional Officer Foundation Program (COFP) for new Adult Community Corrections Officers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in correctional practice, a qualification in Certificate III of Correctional Practice (Adult Community), and experience in case management as a Community Corrections Officer. Possession of a current Certificate IV Training & Assessment or progression towards the qualification is highly regarded.

As a Training Officer, you will work closely with the Manager Adult Community Corrections Training to inform and provide advice on emerging issues and trends. You will also contribute to continuous improvement in an environment of reform.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver training programs to front-line staff working in custodial and community settings
* Develop and deliver training content in accordance with Corrective Services operational requirements
* Work closely with the Manager Adult Community Corrections Training to inform and provide advice on emerging issues and trends
* Contribute to continuous improvement in an environment of reform


Requirements:

* Qualification in Certificate III of Correctional Practice (Adult Community)
* Experience in case management as a Community Corrections Officer
* Current Certificate IV Training & Assessment or progression towards the qualification is highly regarded
