Event Design Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Event Design Specialist to shape the visual identity of our clients' events. This role requires a unique blend of creativity and attention to detail, with a focus on developing mood boards, concept designs, and styling presentations for each event.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage multiple design projects to deadlines. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) with intermediate to advanced skills is essential, as well as knowledge of design principles, colour theory, and event styling trends.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop mood boards, concept designs, and styling presentations for each event
* Draft floor plans, site layouts, and renders to communicate design vision
* Source and curate hire items, linens, florals, stationery, lighting, and production elements
* Develop custom builds in conjunction with directors
* Maintain and update hire orders, inventory lists, and internal design catalogue
* Prepare detailed and accurate design handover documents
* Research and incorporate innovative design trends, products, and creative solutions
* Support directors with initial supplier briefs and styling quotes

Requirements:

* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in event design, interior styling, or related creative field
* Qualification in Interior Design, Visual Arts, or related creative discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Proficiency with CAD, SketchUp, or similar 3D/design software
* Strong creative portfolio demonstrating refined, cohesive design work (events and/or interior styling preferred)
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple design projects to deadlines
* Knowledge of design principles, colour theory, and event styling trends
* A creative, innovative mindset with the ability to translate vision into execution-ready plans
