AECOM is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Dams team. As part of this role, you will contribute to the delivery of complex water infrastructure projects across Australia. Your expertise in mechanical design and dam operations will be crucial in developing sustainable water solutions.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have experience in designing and maintaining dams, as well as collaborating with specialists nationally and internationally. You will be responsible for inspection, investigation, and condition assessment of existing dams, as well as construction support services including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data and construction reporting. Additionally, you will prepare tenders and proposals, and provide mentoring to junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement mechanical designs for dam operations and equipment integration
• Conduct inspections, investigations, and condition assessments of existing dams
• Provide construction support services, including inspection of works, evaluation of quality control and quality assurance data and construction reporting
• Prepare tenders and proposals, and provide mentoring to junior engineers
Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, as well as demonstrated capability in mechanical design. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You should also be able to develop and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and local industry partners.
