**The role**: Our Canberra based Employment and Safety team is seeking an ambitious Lawyer/ Associate with 1-3 years PAE in Employment and Industrial law.
Our team advises and supports a broad range of employers, including leading Australian and multinational organisations, on all aspects of employment, industrial relations, and workplace health and safety. While our client base spans various industries, we work predominantly with Commonwealth Government agencies, alongside State Government bodies and private sector employers.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team led by one Partner, on diverse and interesting matters involving the development and implementation of IR strategies, advice on enterprise bargaining, responding to industrial disputes, drafting and advising on the enforcement of employment agreements, defending unfair dismissal, general protection and discrimination claims, advising on compliance with WHS laws and conducting and advising on workplace investigations, including Code of Conduct and Public Interest Disclosure matters.

In addition, you will:
- have experience in a high quality practice in the areas of employment, workplace relations and occupational health and safety law including in the areas highlighted above, or general litigation experience in a similar area
- possess a detailed understanding of the concepts in the Fair Work Act and discrimination law
- have demonstrated your ability to provide sound technical advice and practical business focused solutions
