About you
You are a self-motivated and resourceful, with great attention to detail and are proficient at prioritising tasks. You're willing to pitch in and have a 'whatever it takes' attitude and are motivated by personal and company growth. You have experience in HVAC engineering, work well within a team and you are passionate about coming up with innovative solutions to meet our client's needs.
You have a sound knowledge of the BCA and Australian Standards AS 1668.1 and AS1668.2 and are interested in technical projects and challenges, in a range of HVAC applications such as; VRF, Chilled and Hot Water, critical control environments, clean rooms, smokecontrols systems.
The main responsibilities of this role are:
Work closely with senior engineers, project managers and site managers to provide accurate and compliant design and documentation including;
Heat load calculations, ventilation compliance, equipment selections, fire rating system selection and registers, fire matrix development, mechanical electrical schedules and MSSB review, BMS and controls designs.
Collaborate with drafters to produce fully coordinated workshop drawings.
Preparation of all aspects of design and construction documentation.
Preparation of quality control documentation, samples, technical data, commissioning resources.
Follow the Climax engineering and design process and quality checks
Key selection criteria
Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Mechanical Engineer
Applied knowledge of BCA, and Australian Standards, in particular; AS1668.1 & 2
Proven ability to deliver heat load and equipment selection calculations, sounds knowledge of HVAC equipment and development of workshop drawing.
Experienced in the use of Bluebeam and Office365
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
University Degree in Engineering.
Experience with a range of design software including Auto CAD, CAMEL, Revit and Navisworks
