Australian Steel Projects is a leading Brisbane-based fabrication business specialising in steel, sheet metal, and stainless-steel fabrication. We supply to the commercial and residential building industry across Australia and have an established customer base throughout Southeast Queensland. With exciting new projects underway, we're expanding our team and looking for an experienced Draftsperson to join us.

Key Responsibilities
* Create accurate steel fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor (required) and Tekla Structures (preferred).
* Perform site measurements and laser scanning; build solid models from point clouds.
* Liaise with clients and internal design teams to ensure project requirements are met.
* Manage drawing budgets and update project management software.
* Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, including AS 1428.
* Contribute to a collaborative team environment with strong communication skills.

Skills & Experience
* Certificate III in Drafting or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years' drafting experience in steel fabrication.
* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (required); Tekla Structures knowledge is a plus.
* Strong leadership skills, ability to coordinate and prioritise work across the design team, managing workloads to meet project demands.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to achieve ASP objectives
* Valid Australian working visa required (applications from overseas will not be accepted).
