The Ski Club Victoria, passionately known as 'The Whitt' are looking for experienced and passionate Chef De Partie, Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs and Cooks to join our dynamic and diverse team for the upcoming winter season.

When the snow falls, 'The Whitt' is buzzing and the place to be on the mountain. We operate seven days a week, with a busy 100‐seater restaurant, bar, café, and function venue.
We serve classic brasserie‐style cuisine with a modern Australian touch, emphasizing fresh local produce in a fun and positive working environment.
Our small but busy café is a Mt Buller hotspot located next to the Bourke Street ski run. We are known for our house‐roasted coffee, quick bites, pastries, and cakes while you hit the slopes.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a passion for cooking, and the ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment and work well under pressure.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Support and work with the Executive Chef to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
* Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and service is provided and maintained.
* Produce high quality and consistent food menu items.
* Share ideas, opinions, and suggestions to improve menus and the kitchen environment.
* Maintain and contribute to a positive and safe working environment.
* Understand regulations concerning health, safety, and other compliance requirements.
* Assist with ordering, stock control, and receiving of goods.
Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role.
* Qualifications in commercial cookery and a food safety certificate.
* Professional attitude and passion for the hospitality industry.
* Strong communication and time‐management skills.
We are offering a great salary package that includes on‐mountain accommodation and reimbursement of seasonal lift passes.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be able to commit to the winter season (June to end of September).
