Learning Support Specialist
We are seeking passionate and motivated individuals to fill the role of Learning Support Specialist. This position involves creating engaging learning experiences, supporting individual students and small groups in and out of the classroom to help them reach their full potential.
This is a part-time opportunity, with a tenure of 30 hours over 5 days per week. We welcome applications from individuals who are looking for part-time hours.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Committed to delivering high-quality educational outcomes;
* Demonstrate an understanding of child safety and appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students;
* Highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic;
* Have some experience working with students with a diverse range of needs, especially ASD and anxiety;
* Display effective communication and organisational skills and the ability to be adaptable;
* Able to complete duties such as First Aid, yard duty support;
* Use initiative within the class environment to ensure optimal student support;
* Able to work as part of teams of various sizes;
* Self-motivated and able to work independently if necessary;
* Able to build positive relationships with children and create learning environments where all are valued and challenged;
* Prepared to be active in our school community.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Education Support preferred;
* Current Working With Children Check;
* Current National Police Check.
