About the role
A unique opportunity to work a predominately 9:00am to 5:30pm schedule as a Chef Manager. This role reports directly to Operations Managers and ensures the smooth running of the kitchen on a day-to-day basis.
Duties
* Preparation and cooking of meals as per the set menu
* Ensure meals are of high quality with excellent presentation
* Communicating with Site Manager and Facility staff
* Provide supervision and direction to Kitchen Staff
* Ensure safe food handling and hygiene practices are maintained
* Completion of food safety documentation
* Adhere to budgets, stock take and regular ordering procedures
* Assisting with kitchen staff schedules and filling shifts
Skills & experience
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
* Experience in Aged Care preferred
* Experience with Western Cooking
* Basic computer skills, including Outlook and ordering processes

About the Role
As a Roving Chef, you will travel between our aged care facilities to:
* You will be required to travel across Victoria
* Prepare and deliver high‐quality meals across various sites
* Support and enhance resident dining experiences
* Assist kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations
* Maintain food safety, WHS, and quality compliance
* Manage stock, ordering, and food costs
* Communicate effectively with facility management, residents, and families
What You Bring
* Ideally, aged care experience, including modified textures and dietary requirements
* Strong food cost and stock management skills
* Professional presentation and communication
* Knowledge of Food Safety legislation
* Flexibility to travel between sites
