The Position
Southside Truck Centre Coffs Harbour is currently seeking applications for an experienced Workshop Foreman to oversee daily operations in our heavy vehicle maintenance workshop. We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, customer-focused, team player to join our service team.
This is a Monday-to-Friday role but at times will need to participate in rotating breakdown roster. The position offers outstanding career growth and job security with a strong and growing independent family-owned business. As a successful candidate, you will join an established and highly respected dealer. You will provide critical day-to-day leadership and coaching to a team of experienced tradesman in the heavy vehicle and diesel mechanical space.

Duties
* Organise, run, and maintain a full workshop.
* Allocate work assignments to technicians and ensure that work is performed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
* Inspecting work in progress and checking daily work against schedules.
* Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
* Building and maintaining culture and cohesion in the workforce.
* Ensuring the health, safety, and compliance of the team.
* Managing and maintaining the use of tools, materials, and equipment.
* Supervise and manage a team of technicians and apprentices, providing guidance, support and training as needed.
Selection Criteria
* Previous experience as a Workshop foreman/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
* Heavy Vehicle Tradesperson certificate.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Confident computer skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* HR or HC licence is desirable.
