Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple residential, commercial, and industrial projects across Western Australia.
You will oversee project and program governance, including resource planning, procurement, stakeholder coordination, and performance management across time, cost, quality, and risk. You will ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian building codes, WHS legislation, and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong leadership, commercial and contract management capability, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects through to completion, including handover and defect resolution, while coordinating closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct and coordinate resource allocation across multiple construction projects to achieve scheduled delivery targets and program objectives.
* Review and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering documentation to guide construction planning and execution.
* Plan and control procurement activities, ensuring timely supply of materials, equipment, and site resources across project locations.
* Liaise with design consultants, engineering specialists, and construction teams to resolve technical issues during design and delivery stages.
* Oversee interconnected project schedules and monitor overall program performance, including cost control, quality assurance, timelines, and risk management.
* Engage in commercial discussions and contract negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
* Prepare and review tender documentation, pricing submissions, contract proposals, and scope definitions for project acquisition and delivery.
* Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, workplace safety legislation, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate submission of construction documentation to regulatory authorities and manage communications with certifiers and inspectors during approvals and inspections.
* Supervise and manage subcontractor performance and workforce activities to ensure productivity, quality standards, and milestone achievement.
* Administer variations, change orders, and project adjustments to maintain alignment with approved scope, budget, and schedule.
* Develop and implement structured project execution plans aligned with strategic program goals and delivery milestones.
* Manage final project delivery stages including handover processes, defect rectification, and client acceptance procedures.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reporting, and records in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
* Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or relevant field preferred; Equivalent industry experience (minimum 5 years in a management or leadership role) may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager, with demonstrated project delivery leadership, is highly preferred.
* Proven experience managing medium to large-scale residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
* Strong capability in resource coordination, budgeting, drawing interpretation, and timely project delivery.
* Solid experience in contract and commercial management.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong knowledge of Australian Building Codes (BCA), WHS/OHS legislation, and construction compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar systems.
* Current White Card and valid Australian driver’s licence.
* Relevant industry certifications highly regarded.
Job Details:
* Job Type: Full-time (Permanent)
* Salary: $140,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year (depending on experience)
* Benefits: Travel reimbursement, annual performance bonus
* Work Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
