Are you an organized, detail-focused Estimator who enjoys turning renovation ideas into clear, accurate and buildable quotes?
We are a growing renovation company specialising in residential projects, including bathrooms, kitchens, unit renovations, full home renovations and more complex building works. We are looking for an Estimator to join our team and take ownership of the estimating process from site visit through to completed quote.
This is a key role in our business, supporting both project delivery and sales conversion by ensuring every quote is accurate, well-scoped and prepared in a timely manner.
About the Role
As our Estimator, you will be responsible for attending site visits, capturing the full scope of works, preparing detailed quotes and coordinating with internal team members, subcontractors and external consultants.
You will work closely with our Support Estimator, Client Experience Manager, draftspeople, engineers and subcontractors to ensure all relevant information is gathered, priced and clearly presented before quotes are issued to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
* Attending scheduled site visits and accurately capturing project requirements
* Taking measurements and photos, including close-up details and full room views
* Identifying the full scope of works required for each projectPreparing clear and accurate renovation quotes using company templates
* Pricing labour, materials and subcontractor works
* Preparing clear scopes of work for each project
* Flagging missing information, assumptions, risks or uncertainties early
* Coordinating subcontractor pricing and technical input where required
* Preparing basic drafting plans for smaller projects where needed
* Engaging draftspeople, engineers and other consultants for larger or more complex projects
* Obtaining and managing external consultant fee proposals
* Working with the Client Experience Manager regarding upcoming appointments and quote delivery
* Supporting improvements to estimating templates, checklists and quoting processes
About You
You will be a great fit for this role if you are:
* Experienced in residential construction, renovations, estimating or a similar role
* Confident reading plans, measuring on site and identifying renovation scope
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to prepare clear, accurate and practical scopes of work
* Comfortable liaising with subcontractors, consultants and internal team members
* Proactive in identifying missing information, risks or assumptions
* Able to manage multiple quotes and deadlines at once
* A clear communicator who works well in a team environment
* Focused on accuracy, consistency and continuous improvement
Experience with bathroom, kitchen, unit or full home renovation estimating will be highly regarded.
