About the Role
The General Manager – Dredging leads Neumann's Dredging Business Unit, integrating operational delivery and plant support into a unified, high-performing team.
This role sets strategic direction, drives commercial performance, and ensures that people, assets and systems work cohesively to deliver safe, efficient and profitable outcomes.
The GM is accountable for business unit leadership, operational coordination, financial performance and long-term capability growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Dredging Business with a long-term, integrated vision that unifies operations and plant into a high-performing, future-ready team.
Lead a high-performing, unified team that not only builds capability but consistently delivers safe, efficient and commercially successful outcomes.
Deliver integrated project planning, bringing together dredging and plant teams under a shared execution framework.
Lead the full contracting lifecycle for dredging projects from opportunity identification and tendering to execution, delivery and close-out.
Collaborate with internal (Legal, Finance, HSEQ) and external (mines, government, regulators, clients) stakeholders to ensure commercial, statutory and operational alignment.
Proven track record managing both delivery and support functions (e.g., operations and plant maintenance) in complex, safety-critical environments.
Deep understanding of dredging and marine operational challenges, including vessel operations, asset management and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, drive high performance and make effective decisions under pressure.
Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, marine science, operations or related fields.
