This is a long-term 12-month initial engagement with a view of extension/permanency, with flexible WFH arrangements and onsite at Sydney Olympic Park._
**_Primary purpose of the role_**
- In Partnership with the business, this role will be responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of high quality people and culture programs and initiatives that drive a high performance culture, build leadership and workforce capability, foster positive and inclusive workplace culture, promote health and wellbeing and enable this agency to deliver its strategic priorities._
**Key accountabilities**
- Provide expert advice to the business about complex and/or high-risk HR matters particularly relating to Government Sector Employment, best practice recruitment, performance development and establishment management.
- Provide high-quality operational HR support and advice to divisional stakeholders across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent management, health and wellbeing and professional development.
- Develop and embed the Talent Framework for the agency to drive continued improvement in identification of talent to maximise the effectiveness of development opportunities for our people.
- Partner with agency staff, by providing advice and guidance, to build capacity in people management and improve practice and outcomes that support achieving agency and individual career goals.
- Project manage the development and delivery of initiatives that focus on enhancing staff capacity to successfully deliver key milestones and outcomes.
- Prepare correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs, that are informative and aligned with agency requirements, to respond to Agency and/or Government requests.
- Develop and embed a Recruitment and Selection Framework for the agency to provide consistent and equitable recruitment practices.
- Ensure organisation compliance with relevant people management policies, procedures, legislation and regulations.
**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Previous experience within the Government sector is highly desirable.
- Experience of providing sound advice and business partnering with stakeholders to work through HR issues in a multifaceted organisation underpinned by specific legislations.
