About the opportunity
There is currently one (1) permanent, full-time position available for immediate filling.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to deliver a high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused ministerial service within the department.
This is a key leadership position, responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and seamless coordination of formal ministerial, parliamentary, and government business correspondence. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute at the heart of government operations, supporting informed decision-making and effective stakeholder engagement.
Working in partnership with another Ministerial Services Coordinator, you will provide strong leadership and direction to a team of Ministerial Services Officers. Together, you will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the department's incoming and outgoing ministerial, parliamentary, and government business services, creating a collaborative, high-performing team environment and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.
We are looking for individuals with:
* Proven ability to coordinate and manage the flow of ministerial and parliamentary requests in a complex multi-disciplinary organisation.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders.
* A collaborative leadership style, with experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting a team to deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
* Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated ability to develop practical and innovative solutions to complex problems.

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
